A course on Marma’s will be given by Thomas Punnen and Naveen Gupta from may 20th until may 24th.

This course is unique because it provides knowledge that (even in India) is not given in standard courses. This knowledge comes from a tradition that one can only learn if the person is dedicated to study the Marma point during multiple years. India has a known Guru tradition. That means that people are only given knowledge if the student is fully committed to his studies. The in-depth knowledge about channels is almost impossible to obtain through normal marma’s.

Thomas Punnen believes there are the standard 108 Marma points of the Sushruta, but that the Sushruta has only mentioned the most important ones. From his perspective there are many more. Furthermore, it is not just about Mala points, but for treatment he likes to focus on the Marma channels. Thomas has had an active practice in Amsterdam for many years and was very successful in treating various back complaints. One needs to know exactly which meridians are important in order to achieve successful treatment. Thomas makes the diagnosis based on temperature differences between Marma points. For this, one needs to gain at least some practical experience to be able to feel the effect.

The course that is offered is only intended for those who already know the basic principles of Ayurveda and have experience in this area. The intention is only to explain per indication which Marma channels you should treat in order to achieve a result. The starting point is to transfer as much practical experience as possible from Thomas to your own practice.

It will be a unique course that cannot be learned anywhere else. Thomas is not a natural speaker and therefore the course will be given together with Naveen Gupta.The preliminary program is that during the morning Naveen Gupta will go through the theory of the Marma points and later, in the afternoon, everyone will apply it in practice.

Wie is Thomas Punnen?

Heel lang geleden verwierf Sri. Thomas Punnen kennis over natuurlijke behandelwijzen, Ayurveda en marma van een legendarische goeroe en sadhu - Vaidyan Ashan. In het begin van zijn carrière gebruikte hij zijn tijd en vaardigheden om patiënten in Kerala te behandelen onder leiding van zijn goeroe. Zijn verlangen naar meer kennis over kruidengeneeskunde en verschillende gezondheidszorgsystemen bracht hem naar vele andere delen van de wereld, waaronder Noord-Ameika, Zuid-Amerika, Europe en het Verre Oosten.

In 1990, sloot Sri. Thomas Punnen zich aan bij een onderzoeksteam:

Thomas Punnen sloot zich aan bij een onderzoeksteam bij de stichting van David Robertson voor de studie van multiple sclerose. Na het behalen van een vergunning om marma en ayurveda in Nederland te beoefenen, opende hij in 1992 zijn eigen kliniek in Amsterdam. Gezien zijn vooraanstaande bijdrage op het gebied van natuurlijkegeneeskunde, BATC (Vereniging van Therapeuten en Consumenten en RING Europe) verleende hem een graad 'A' beoefenaarcertificaat. Kort daarna begon Thomas Punnen onderzoek te doen naar huidverzorgingsproducten en huidziekten, vooral zogenaamd ongeneeslijke aandoeningen zoals eczeem en psoriasis. Na vele jaren van onderzoek en testen ontwikkelde hij oliën voor verschillende huidverzorgingsproblemen, psoriasis en olie voor haargroei, die nu onze gepatenteerde producten zijn in India onder de merknaam ''PUNNENS''(GEREGISTREERD HANDELSMERK).

Voor de afgelopen 16 jaar heeft Thomas Punnen zijn onderzoek voortgezet op verschillende huidproblemen:

Met de volledige medewerking van mensen in Nederland en India, nieuwe pure en natuurlijke oliën ontwikkeld voor verschillende huidproblemen, neuroproblemen, migraine, nek- en ruggen gaat problemen enz. zonder enige chemische tussenkomst. Zijn patiënten uit India en vele Europese landen hielpen hem de klinische proeven op hun eigen lichaam uit te voeren en behaalde uitstekende resultaten. Hij behaalde perfectie in het jaar 2004, wat hem het vertrouwen gaf om deze producten op de markt te brengen. Sinds 2005 worden al zijn 7 Patentproducten steeds populairder in Europa.

Thomas Punnen was de directeur van het gerrenomeerde The Kerela Ayurvedic Centre in Amsterdam.

Zijn expertise omvat het geven van seminars,cursussen en praktische trainingen over Ayurveda, marmatechnieken, Panchakarma en massagetherapieën.

Who is Thomas Punnen?

A long time ago Sri. Thomas Punnen acquired knowledge about natural ways of treatment, Ayurveda and marma from a legendary guru and sadhu - Vaidyan Ashan. In the beginning of his career he used his time and skills to treat patients in Kerala under the guidance of his guru. His desire for more knowledge about herbal medicine and different health care systems took him to many other parts of the world including North America, South America, Europe and the Far East.

In 1990, Sri. Thomas Punnen joined a research team:

Thomas Punnen joined a research team at David Robertson’s foundation for the study of multiple sclerosis. After obtaining a license to practice marma and Ayurveda in the Netherlands, he opened his own clinic in Amsterdam in 1992. Considering his distinguished contribution in the field of natural medicine, BATC (Association of Therapists and Consumers) and RING (Association of Alternative Medicine in Europe) granted him a grade ‘A’ practitioner certificate.

Shortly thereafter Sri. Thomas Punnen started researching skin care products and skin diseases, especially supposedly incurable afflictions such as eczema and psoriasis. After many years of research and testing he developed oils for various skin care problems, psoriasis and oil for hair growth, which are now our patent products in India under the Brand name " PUNNENS" (REGISTERED TRADE MARK).

For the past 16 years Sri. Thomas Punnen has continued his research:

on various skin problems and with the full cooperation of people in The Netherlands and India, Developed new pure and natural oils for Various skin problems, Neuro problems,Migrain, Neck and Spinal problems etc.with out any chemical involment. His patients from India and many European countries helped him to do the clinical trials on their own bodies and attained excellent results. He obtained perfection in the year 2004 which gave him the confidence to introduce these products to the market. Since 2005, All his 7 Patent products becoming more and morepopular in europe.

Thomas Punnen was the director of the well-established The Kerala Ayurvedic Centre in Amsterdam.

His expertise includes giving seminars, courses and practical training on Ayurveda, marma techniques, Panchakarma and massage therapies.
